I have been in love with the sugar skulls and brights colors of Day of the Dead for years! It seems like they are everywhere this Halloween and with good reason. These colorful decorations remind us to celebrate the dead, not mourn them. As I was browsing through Michaels the other day, I was inspired to create this beautiful Day of the Dead Wreath!
To create this Day of the Dead Wreath, here’s what you will need!
Foam wreath form
2 spools of black satin ribbon
Colorful Halloween floral picks
Foam sugar skull
Hot glue gun
Pink ribbon (to hang)
Begin by wrapping the foam wreath form with the black satin ribbon. Hot glue one end of the ribbon to the back of the wreath and start wrapping.
Complete by trimming any excess ribbon and hot gluing to back of the wreath.
Once wrapped, arrange the floral picks as you would like them. Hot glue into place.
Glue the sugar skull in place over the ends of the floral picks.
Finally, add the pink ribbon for hanging.
I just love how fun and festive it is! The glitter, bright colors are perfect for celebrating Halloween or Day of the Dead!
