Materials needed to make your own Bottle Cap Bats
Bottle caps
Krylon Glitter Blast (Black)
Black Felt
Pencil
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Googly eyes (optional)
I love using felt for simple projects. (Check out my Halloween Felt Banner!) Start by tracing a circle on your black felt. I used an iced tea glass for making the circle. Cut out your circles.
Next, cut the circles in half and scallop the edges. I eyeballed it, but you can trace something if you want it to be more specific. I kinda liked the idea of the bats being a little different from each other!
Another option would be to use your Cricut to cut the bat wings.
Spray paint the bottle caps using your Glitter Blast. It will take about three coats.
Hot glue the bat wings to the back of the bottle cap and allow to dry.
To even out the textures, I took the bats back outside and applied one more coat of Glitter Blast which added a little sparkle to the wings!
If you want to add googly eyes, go for it!
The cool thing about this project is it is so versatile! You can make a Lily Munster like bat necklace, bat magnets for the fridge, or add them to other pieces in your Halloween decor!
These cuties are driving me batty! {hee hee}
