Airplane Birthday Party

Warning:  Picture heavy post!!  =)
Yesterday, I shared with you the Clothespin Airplane party favors from Reed’s third birthday.
Today, I am going to share with you the rest of the party details!  Once Reed mentioned the airplane birthday party, I decided to do a red and aqua theme.  {I just love that color scheme!}

I enlisted my awesome sister to design the invitations and she came up with these adorable boarding pass invitations!

I bought an 8×10 unfinished frame from Michael’s and painted it for a door decoration.  The cardboard backing for the picture part I covered with chalkboard vinyl and wrote Happy Birthday!  Bonus: Extra toy for the kiddo!

My favorite part is the food table!  This airplane banner I made on my Cameo.  I downloaded this cartoon-y airplane and some clouds.  It took me all of ten minutes.
These topiaries were inspired by Project Party Perfect‘s Airplane party.  Instead of the little airplanes she used, I painted some unfinished airplanes from Joann Fabric and hot glued them in place.  Reed helped me make these.  He painstakingly applied every cotton ball after I applied the glue…LOL
The printables were made by one of my best bloggy friends, Sarah from Becoming Martha.  That girl has mad skillz!  I sent her the .png of the airplane from the invite and she took it from there.  Everything from the cupcake toppers to the tent cards and the water bottle labels are her design!  Thanks so much Sarah!
This was our Beverage Service at Reed Airlines.
This is a great pic of the hard work Sarah put into my printables!
Lastly, we had a Baggage Claim area where the guests could pick up their Clothespin Airplane party favors.  The sign I made using an image from the Silhouette Library.  I just loved the 1950’s feel to it!
These cute red chevron bags and the striped straws were from The Sugar Diva!  {If you haven’t been to her website, go!  Such cute party supplies!}
And here’s my happy birthday boy!  All smiles after tearing into that cupcake!
 Happy birthday, buddy!  Love you!

 Linking up to these fabulous parties!

    Hi I love this party and I am trying to replicate the airplane for my son’s first birthday on my silhouette. I’m brand new to it and I’m wondering if you could share how you got the plane to cute in that few of shapes. I’ve looked for a tutorial but can’t find one. Any help would be great! Thanks!

      Hi Jenna! The plane is actually Design ID #4467. It is 6 different pieces all glued to the red body of the plane. I wish I could have done it in less than that but it just didn’t look right. Hope that helps!
