I have always been a lover of the forest. It seems so peaceful and magical to me. Maybe it’s because I’ve lived in the desert my whole life. Or maybe it really is… peaceful and magical. This holiday season I decided to create a wreath that wasn’t too Christmasy and really said ‘WINTER’ when you looked at it. Check out my oh-so-pretty Woodland Plaid Winter Wreath!
Thanks so much to Floracraft for providing me with a wreath form for this project…I love how big it is!
Here’s a list of supplies you will need if you want to create one for your front door or mantle:
wreath form
plaid fabric
bottle brush tree
plastic deer
gold dots
gold glitter
Mod Podge
sponge brush
scissors
hot glue gun + sticks
burlap & gold ribbon
The first thing you want to do is rip your fabric in 2 inch wide strips and wrap your wreath form, securing with hot glue at the back of the wreath. Once you cover the wreath, hot glue the gold dots sporadically on the tree.
Then using Mod Podge and your sponge brush, paint the deer’s antlers and sprinkle with gold glitter. Hot glue the tree and deer to the wreath.
Use the burlap and gold flecked ribbon to make a bow and hot glue it to the top of your wreath.
If you have any extra gold dots, you can hot glue those on the wreath as well. I just LOVE the way it turned out! What do you think?
Thanks so much for checking out my Woodland Plaid Winter Wreath today!
