For some reason, Valentine’s Day always takes me back to an elementary school mind set. I love the “classroom bulletin board” look! I was trying to decide which type of garland to go with for my Valentine’s Day Mantel and simply could not make a decision to save my life! I developed these three Ideas for Valentine Garland and amazingly was able to incorporate all of them into my Valentine’s Day decor!
I have three simple and unique tutorials for your Valentine garland.
First up is the classic Daisy Chain.
I had this left over Valentine’s Day paper from the Valentine Countdown project. {If you missed it, click here!} I cut out 1 inch by 6 inch strips to get this small, tightly linked chain. Simply, connect the ends of the strip and staple or glue in place. Keep adding on one strip at a time. Mine is about 12 feet long! LOVE it!
Next, is the Stitched Paper Heart Garland.
Using my cutting machine, I cut out 40 glitter-y paper hearts {20 pink, 20 red}. I used my sewing machine to string together the hearts. Easy peasy and super cute!
Lastly, I made this cute Pom Pom Garland with baker’s twine!
I created these pom poms using my pom pom maker. I made ten total. Grab some baker’s twine and thread a needle. String the pom poms on the baker’s twine by passing the needle through the center of each pom pom.
Like I said, I couldn’t decide which I liked the best so I used them all! Can’t wait to share my Valentine Mantel with you next week!
