    Try to cure the winter blues by doing some fun things with kids knowing winter wont last forever.

    I cure the winter Blues by making a simple choice in my heart that this is the Day the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it! I have never liked winter, but since I have made this decision, it is awesome! Apparently its all in the way you look at it. I dont like being cold, but its only for a season!

    Our winter is so short, that it’s hard to fall into the winter blues…but for those cold days (today is one of them!) I love to curl up with a good book and a hot cup of coffee!

  14. No winter blues for this girl! I like be snuggled up in front of the fire when it’s cold out and I love playing in the snow. :)

  16. Our winters aren’t cold or snowy so aside from the holiday break the winter blues are not a big issue!

    This year, the boys got battery powered ride on cars from Nana so we cured our winter stir craziness by bundling everybody up and taking the cars to the park. The paved path surrounding it was empty so the boys had free roam. Everyone had so much fun!

  29. Curing the winter blues is always difficult for me. It helps to start getting organized for a new year, getting back on track with my eating and exercise, and planning the fun things we will be doing this Spring. I love to start new DIY projects around the house during this time of year since there aren’t any outside duties that are needing to be done. Also, I get quite a bit of reading done each night. WOW, looks like I kick it into overdrive in an attempt to chase those blues away!

    I fight the winter blues by either baking or sewing things for my vintage camper , Making cushions and curtains and dodads to put in her and get ready for April and my first campout in her,

  32. I grab a good book, a warm blanket and read the day away. That, of course, doesn’t happen very often with little ones so instead we grab a fun game and play, laugh, and eat goodies. The whole fam loves it!

  33. Our winters aren’t too cold, so I try enjoy when we get a break from the heat. But snuggling by the fireplace always helps!

  37. Being in the South we usually don’t get the winter blues…but hot chocolate and fresh baked goodies can warm everything!

  38. With the ex training days off school due to snow and below zero temps, my son and I have been busy throwing hot water out the front door and watching it freeze instantly mid-air, blowing bubbles and watching them freeze, making snow ice cream…

  39. We live in N. CA winters are not too bad. When it’s super cold we drink hot cocoa watch some good movies, play games and make crafts!

    My blues have just kicked in because my big boy had to go back to school! :(

    We’ll deal with our sadness by using our mornings, afternoons and weekends wisely. Enjoying lots of
    quality time together- playing games, watching our favorite shows, crafting, baking, and spending time
    together. :)

  42. Well, I live in Florida so the winter blues are not really a factor. Actually for us, in the winter we get out more often that we normally do because it is not so blasted hot! But when I lived in Ohio, my cure for the winter blues was doing puzzles with my family. We would spend weeks working on one and I loved it.

  43. Just simply get out of the house!

  44. I put on some music and dance around the house with my baby boy!

  45. I cure the blues with CHOCOLATE. Not so good for the waist line but always makes me fell better.

  46. Crocheting prayer shawls makes me feel warm inside and outside!

  47. Sometimes I seriously just give in and hang on the couch for the day- ha! But really, I let my boys keep me from being too blue- playing with them keeps life pretty exciting! You rock, as always, hon! :)

  54. Fleece PJs, fleece robe, fleece socks, and a fleece blanket help chase away the winter blues.
