Confession: I have not dyed Easter eggs since I was a child. I figured now that Reed is a little older, it is the perfect time to re-start the tradition! These Bunny Silhouette Dyed Easter Eggs are a great way to put a new spin on traditional egg dying!
Wanna make your own Bunny Silhouette Dyed Easter Eggs?
Here’s what you need:
Cameo and vinyl
Hard boiled eggs
Vinegar
Egg dye
Cute little helper {optional}
I found this cute bunny silhouette design in the Silhouette library. I ungrouped the image and resized the bunnies to one and a half inches each. Then cut with the Cameo.
Reed and I put the eggs on the stove to boil. As they were cooking, Reed and I set up the Easter egg dye. According to the egg dye package, vinegar leads to brighter, more vibrant colors.
After the eggs were drained and cooled, we set to work. I applied the vinyl bunny stickers and Reed placed the eggs in the dye. Surprisingly, he was very gentle. =)
Once the eggs were dry, I carefully peeled off the vinyl bunny stickers.
Don’t have a Cameo? Don’t worry! Why not buy some bunny stickers at the store and use those instead? {I just love the flexibility of the vinyl and I didn’t have to leave the house to get the stickers…hee hee!} I love how the Bunny Silhouette Dyed Easter Eggs turned out!
