Hi, I’m Jill and I’m a quilting addict.
{And the chorus of followers says, “Hi Jill!”}
Ever since I finished my Verona Zig Zag quilt, I have been scouring the quilting magazines for a second project. I was perusing Simple Quilts and came across this Island Beach Quilt kit from SassyPacks. The colors and fabrics were outstanding and immediately caught my eye. I fell in love with the strip block pattern and instinctively knew this was it! Nothing says summer like this fun Island Beach Quilt!
Have you heard of SassyPacks? They have some amazing projects and kits!
The quilting instructions were simple and easy to follow. And they also included washing instructions for the finished product.
I used a diagonal seam to connect the extra strips of fabric which gave it this fun colorful border!
The backing is terry cloth so it’s super absorbent!
I just love how this turned out! Can’t wait to take my Island Beach Quilt to the pool!

So pretty! I love it! I seriously have to start quilting again.
It turned out beautiful, Jill! Great job!!!
Ohmygosh, you did a fabulous job with that!
What a great job you did!! Love the bright sunny colors!! I’m visiting from Happy Hour Friday and am a new follower. It would be great if you could visit and follow me back at http://lifeofblocks.blogspot.com/ Thanks!
This turned out great. I love strip quilts and have made several baby versions. I think the white/pattern mix really gives it a great look.
Stopping over from Serenity Now.
I want that quilt! Please come over and make me one, thanks! Beautiful job Jill!
