My Stars and Stripes Washi Tape Art project is the first time I have ever worked with washi tape. Until this project, I had never seen (in person), used, or worked with washi tape. {I know, sacrilege!} OMG – I’m sold! Thankfully, Pinterest has a ba-jillion washi tape projects from which to choose! With Memorial Day and Fourth of July just around the corner, I chose to go a little patriotic and bust out the red, white and blue with this Stars and Stripes Washi Tape Art. {Insert me singing “America the Beautiful” here}
I got a little carried away with the washi tape. After I made the star, I embellished the frame and the votive holder! This stuff is so easy to play with since it removes so easily. Where have I been?
Can’t wait to use this to decorate my mantle for Fourth of July!

This looks great!!! Very festive

That’s such a great idea! I want to adapt this idea using red to make a maple leaf for Canada Day!

That turned out awesome! I’ve never used washi tape either. I ALMOST bought some at the store last week, but couldn’t think of anything to make off hand, so I put it back. I love your star!
