I made this Insulated Casserole Carrier for my best buddy for Christmas last year! Who doesn’t love a potluck? It’s a great, inexpensive way to throw a party and learn some new recipes! Honestly, how many of you have arrived with your dish wrapped in towels or in an old box? (sheepishly raises hand) Thanks to Pinterest, you won’t have to suffer that humilation again! Arrive in style with this practical insulated casserole carrier!
I found this amazing fabric at Hobby Lobby. They really do have a great selection of styles. The carrier is insulated with Insul-brite and includes strong carrying handles. It is a quarter fold design to ensure your tasty dish arrives to its destination still piping hot! The sides are velcro to keep the dish snug.
I made one small change – in order to fit a standard 9×13 casserole dish with the Pyrex lid, I had to lengthen the dimensions. {That silly lid sticks out too far in my opinion.} You can find the tutorial for this awesome carrier here!
I can attest to it’s heat keeping capabilities! My friend had to travel two hours to her family’s house for Christmas and her dish was still warm when they arrived!
Bon appetit!
